Dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love, music and healing, the Dendera Temple complex is one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Dating back to the Ptolemaic and Roman periods (1st century BCE–1st century CE), it features intricate carvings and stunning ceilings that depict celestial imagery.

-Abydos was one of the most important religious sites in Ancient Egypt, associated with Osiris, the god of the afterlife. The Temple of Seti I, built in the 13th century BCE, is renowned for its exquisite carvings and dedication to seven major deities, including Osiris, Isis, Horus and Amun.

Itinerary

Morning

Depart from Luxor and travel to Abydos (about 3 hours). Explore the Temple of Seti I with your guide.  

Midday

Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant.  

Afternoon

Continue to Dendera (about 1.5 hours). Tour the Temple of Hathor and its grounds before returning to Luxor.
