As a maternal goddess, Isis<\/strong> served as a reassuring figure, equipped with the divine power to solve countless everyday life problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Isis<\/strong> could save a child bitten by a deadly snake, exactly as she saved her son Horus. An ancient spell against snake bites calls directly upon her motherly protection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI sat down, and I wept.
